Do you see nothing beyond work? Do you prioritize your work over food, sleep, family and friends? Do you get so engrossed in your work that you do not realize what is happening around you? If the answers to all the questions are yes, then introspect, it is always so?
If yes, you are indeed a hard worker. Now dive deep and interrogate yourself, are you just a hard worker or a workaholic? Well yes, there is a difference between the two if you think closely. All workaholics are hardworking but not all hard workers are workaholics. Which one of these is you?
THERE IS NO HARM IN WORKING HARD
I know you have your self-actualization goals to achieve. Working hard is one of the biggest pillars of success. But you should not always work. You should know when work mode and life mode should be switched on and switched off.
WHY ONLY WORK CANNOT BECOME YOUR LIFE?
We all have seen in movies, it is only until something unforeseen happens and we need someone to fall back on, we realize the importance of personal relationships. It becomes even more challenging for introverts. Life cannot be lived alone. You need your circle to keep your spirits alive and you must take necessary time off from work. You should give time to your loved ones and be there for them too.
DO NOT ONLY WORK HARD, WORK SMART
When you slog for hours at something but know that someone can help you solve your problem in minutes, do not shy away from asking. Is hard work always the only solution available?
DO NOT LET YOUR HARD WORK BECOME YOUR WEAKNESS
This is the most common trap for hard workers. Everyone knows you are a hard worker and will not say no to work. They can easily use this trait for their own advantage and monetize on your skills. Let your hard work earn you credit and not burn your peace.
Be the best in the lot, work hard and shine. But at the same time, stop and unwind. Because all workaholics are hardworking but not all hard workers are workaholics. Choose your category wisely. More power to you!
Let all us reward each others hard work in our own way possible!
